Kathryn Herrman is a Southern California artist and craftsperson who specializes in batiked and tie-dyed fabric, clothing, accessories, and table linens. Her sense of intense color and design comes from her love of botanical and agricultural themes. She uses the traditional batik craft technique of wax resist dyeing as well as tie-dye to produce unique and colorful patterned textiles that are suitable for everyday use.
Kathryn studied art at Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles, and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Textiles from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. She has been a full-time studio artist since 1978.
